Abstract
A convertible furniture apparatus includes a frame; a convertible assembly connected to the frame via at least a pair of pivot points each connected to respective side panels of the frame, the convertible assembly configured to transition between a first position and a second position by pivoting about the pivot points; and a binding assembly configured to selectively cinch the convertible assembly to the frame, when the convertible assembly is in the first position or the second position.
Claims19
A convertible furniture apparatus, comprising:
- a frame;
- a convertible assembly connected to the frame via at least a pair of pivot points each connected to respective side panels of the frame, the convertible assembly configured to transition between a first position and a second position by pivoting about the pivot points;
- and
- a binding assembly configured to selectively cinch the convertible assembly to the frame when the convertible assembly is in the first position or the second position by applying a tensile force to draw the frame toward the convertible assembly under mechanical tension such that an amount of the tensile force applied varies based on a degree of engagement of the binding assembly.

A convertible furniture apparatus, comprising:
- a frame;
- a convertible assembly connected to the frame via at least a pair of pivot points each connected to respective side panels of the frame, the convertible assembly configured to transition between a first position and a second position by pivoting about the pivot points, the convertible assembly including a first assembly and a second assembly, the first assembly including a pair of first side rails, and the second assembly including a pair of second side rails;
- and
- a binding assembly configured to selectively cinch the convertible assembly to the frame by,
- traversing first through holes in the pair of first side rails to cinch the first assembly to the frame when the convertible furniture apparatus is in the first position, and
- traversing second through holes in the pair of second side rails of the frame to cinch the second assembly to the frame when the convertible furniture apparatus is in the second position.
