Abstract
A drum for a washing machine has a suds container, in which the drum can be rotatably mounted about a horizontal or inclined axis, including a cylindrical shell that is delimited by means of two opposite end walls, at least one driver element that is attached to the inner surface of the shell. A driver element for the drum is designed as a curved body having a curvature directed toward the drum interior and is arranged at a distance from the end walls.

A drum for a washing machine comprising a suds container, in which the drum can be rotatably mounted about a horizontal or inclined axis, comprising a cylindrical shell that is delimited by means of two opposite end walls, and at least one driver element that is attached to the inner surface of the shell, wherein the driver element is configured as a curved body having a curvature directed toward the drum interior and is arranged at a distance from the end walls;
- wherein the shell is provided with a curved structure formed from individual hexagons;
- and
- wherein the shell is provided with holes for through-flow of fluid, the holes being arranged in webs formed from the outlines of the hexagons.
