Abstract
The present invention provides a solubilizing agent for hardly water-soluble substances, which contains a compound represented by the formula (1): wherein the symbols in the above formula are as defined in the specification.

A composition comprising water, a hardly water-soluble substance, and a compound represented by the formula (1):
- wherein X is a hydrogen atom or a methyl group, and n is an integer of 5 to 15, and the hardly water-soluble substance is at least one selected from the group consisting of a liposoluble vitamin, a steroid, and a fatty acid.
