Vehicle including a drive unit and a seat provided on the drive unit via a lift unit

A vehicle, comprising:

• a vehicle body frame;
• a drive unit provided on the vehicle body frame and movable on a floor surface;
• a seat disposed above the vehicle body frame to support buttocks of a user;
• a lift unit provided between the vehicle body frame and the seat to raise and lower the seat between a low position and a high position;
• at least one first leg extending downward from the seat and provided with a roller at a lower end thereof;
• at least one second leg extending downward from the seat, provided with a contact member at a lower end thereof, and capable of extending and contracting in an up-down direction;
• and
• a pair of left and right levers connected to the second leg via a transmission mechanism,
• wherein the pair of left and right levers is pivotably joined by a pair of left and right lever supports provided on the seat and a pivot axis of the pair of left and right levers extends in the lateral direction,
• the transmission mechanism includes a drive shaft extending laterally and pivotably supported by the pair of left and right lever supports, a pair of left and right input members connecting the drive shaft to the pair of left and right levers, and at least one link connecting the drive shaft to the second leg,
• when the seat is in the high position, the roller and the contact member are separated from the floor surface,
• when the seat is in the low position, the roller contacts the floor surface while the contact member is capable of contacting the floor surface, and
• when the seat is in the low position, at least one of the levers is rotated from an initial position to an operation position, whereby at least one of the input members and the drive shaft are rotated in accordance with the rotation of the lever, the second leg contracts, and the contact member is displaced from a use position in which the contact member contacts the floor surface to a retracted position in which the contact member is separated from the floor surface,
• wherein the lever is displaced between an initial position and an operation position, the second leg is in the use position when the lever is in the initial position and the second leg is in the retracted position when the lever is in the operation position, and the lift unit allows prevents displacement of the seat to the high position when the seat is in the low position and the lever is in the initial position the second leg is in the retracted position.
