Biological fluid treatment systems

A platform for use in a biological fluid treatment system, the platform comprising:

• an inner region configured to carry a biological fluid for treatment by the biological fluid treatment system, the inner region configured to move to agitate the biological fluid
• wherein the inner region comprises an inner region assembly, the inner region assembly comprising one or more removable portions configured to carry the biological fluid and a cradle portion for receiving the one or more removable portions,
• wherein the one or more removable portions comprise a tray;
• an outer region comprising a support structure, the outer region configured to remain in a fixed position during a time period in which the inner region moves to agitate the biological fluid;
• and
• a panel, wherein the panel is configured to move between a closed position and an open position;
• wherein, in the closed position:
• the panel covers an opening to a treatment chamber of the biological fluid treatment system, and
• the biological fluid is positioned in the treatment chamber;
• wherein, in the open position, the panel uncovers the opening to the treatment chamber of the biological fluid treatment system.
