Abstract
Adjusting communication channels used by camera to communicate with a base station are described. In one aspect, characteristics of communication channels can be determined and the operation of the camera can be adjusted to use a communication channel based on a comparison of the characteristics of multiple communication channels.
Claims20
A computer-implemented method comprising:
- determining, by a first computer system, first characteristics of a first communication channel and second characteristics of a second communication channel usable by a camera;
- determining, using an artificial intelligence (AI) module and based on a feature vector extracted from the first characteristics and the second characteristics, that the second communication channel provides enhanced transfer of video from the camera to a second computer system compared to the first communication channel;
- adjusting, based on the determining that the second communication channel provides the enhanced transfer of video, operation of the camera to switch from using the first communication channel to the second communication channel;
- and
- providing the enhanced transfer of video to the second computer system using the second communication channel.

A base station, comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions, wherein the processor is configured to execute the instructions such that the processor and memory are configured to:
- determine first characteristics of a first communication channel and second characteristics of a second communication channel usable by a camera;
- determine, using an artificial intelligence (AI) module and based on a feature vector extracted from the first characteristics and the second characteristics, that the second communication channel provides enhanced transfer of video from the camera to a second computer system compared to the first communication channel;
- adjust, based on the determining that the second communication channel provides the enhanced transfer of video, operation of the camera to switch from using the first communication channel to the second communication channel;
- and
- provide the enhanced transfer of video to the second computer system using the second communication channel.

A non-transitory, computer-readable storage medium storing computer instructions, which when executed by one or more computer processors cause the one or more computer processors to:
- determine first characteristics of a first communication channel and second characteristics of a second communication channel usable by a camera;
- determine, using an artificial intelligence (AI) module and based on a feature vector extracted from the first characteristics and the second characteristics, that the second communication channel provides enhanced transfer of video from the camera to a second computer system compared to the first communication channel;
- adjust, based on the determining that the second communication channel provides the enhanced transfer of video, operation of the camera to switch from using the first communication channel to the second communication channel;
- and
- provide the enhanced transfer of video to the second computer system using the second communication channel.
