Abstract
Embodiments of the present disclosure provide for monitoring and supervision of operations that are being performed on a well. The embodiments of the present disclosure provide one or more systems and methods that allow a wellsite supervisor to monitor and supervise from a location that is physically distanced from where the operation is being conducted and, optionally, in real time.
Claims9
A computerized method for remote monitoring of a well operation, the method comprising steps of:
- a. collecting operational information of the well operation, including a predetermined operational plan;
- b. establishing one or more operating thresholds based upon the predetermined operational plan;
- c. creating an actual depth value for determining a location within each well when an operation event is performed by a downhole apparatus, wherein creating the actual depth value comprises a step of correlating operational information of a fire control system and a wireline data acquisition system, and wherein the wireline data acquisition system operational information comprises a depth value and a time stamp associated therewith;
- d. displaying automatically on a client-computing device the collected operational information and the actual depth value and any associated plug library data and gun library data, in real time;
- and
- e. assessing whether the collected operational information and the actual depth value are approaching and/or exceeding the one or more operating thresholds,
- wherein if the collected operational information and the actual depth value are approaching and/or exceeding the one or more operating thresholds, adjusting one or more steps of the well operation to increase compliance with the predetermined operational plan.
