A double Raschel knitted fabric including a double-layer knitted fabric, comprising a front layer and a back layer, and connecting thread connecting together the front layer and the back layer, and having a plurality of ridges and recesses between the ridges, formed in at least one of the front layer and the back layer,

• wherein the ridges are formed by two or more wales of stitch rows gathered together in the warp direction, and each ridge of the plurality of ridges is linked with a respective adjacent ridge on at least one side by a plurality of sinker loops, and
• wherein for each ridge of the plurality of ridges, each left-half stitch row is connected to a respective adjacent ridge to the right by one sinker loop of the plurality of sinker loops with no stitches formed therebetween, and each right-half stitch row is connected to a respective adjacent ridge to the left by one sinker loop of the plurality of sinker loops with no stitches formed therebetween.
