Abstract
A lift device includes a lift apparatus and a base assembly. The lift apparatus is configured to raise and lower an implement assembly. The base assembly is configured to support the lift apparatus. The base assembly includes a deployable operator station transitionable between a deployed position and a stowed position. In the deployed position, the deployable operator station is configured to provide a seating and control arrangement for an operator. In the stowed position, the deployable operator station is substantially sealed from an external environment to limit access to the deployable operator station.
Claims19
A lift device comprising:
- a lift apparatus configured to raise and lower an implement assembly;
- and
- a base assembly configured to support the lift apparatus, the base assembly comprising a deployable operator station transitionable between a deployed position and a stowed position;
- wherein in the deployed position, the deployable operator station is configured to provide a seating and control arrangement for an operator;
- wherein in the stowed position, the deployable operator station is substantially sealed from an external environment to limit access to the deployable operator station and a seat assembly of the deployable operator station is in a folded position;
- wherein the deployable operator station comprises:
- a first shell member pivotally coupled with the base assembly and configured to transition between a stowed orientation and a deployed orientation;
- a second shell member fixedly coupled with the base assembly;
- and
- a third shell member pivotally coupled with the base assembly and configured to transition between a stowed orientation and a deployed orientation,
- a first frame assembly pivotally coupled with the base assembly at a first end, wherein the third shell member is fixedly coupled with the first frame assembly;
- and
- a second frame assembly pivotally coupled with a second end of the first frame assembly.
A deployable operator station for a lift device, the deployable operator station comprising:
- a rollover protective structure rotatably coupled at a first end with a support structure;
- and
- an overhead protective structure pivotally coupled with a second end of the rollover protective structure, the overhead protective structure pivotally coupled with the rollover protective structure through a selective engagement mechanism, the selective engagement mechanism configured to selectively limit rotation between the overhead protective structure and the rollover protective structure and receive a user input to disengage the selective engagement mechanism for rotating the overhead protective structure relative to the rollover protective structure;
- wherein the deployable operator station is transitionable between a deployed position and a stowed position.
A lift device comprising:
- a chassis;
- a plurality of tractive elements rotatably coupled to the chassis and configured to support the chassis;
- an electric motor configured to drive the plurality of tractive elements for driving and steering operations;
- and
- a deployable operator station configured to transition between a deployed position and a tucked position, wherein the deployable operator station comprises:
- a rollover protective structure pivotally coupled with a support member at a first end and configured to be pivoted relative to the support member for deployment by a linear electric actuator;
- and
- an overhead protective structure pivotally coupled with a second end of the rollover protective structure, the overhead protective structure pivotally coupled with the rollover protective structure through a selective engagement mechanism, the selective engagement mechanism configured to receive a user input to selectively limit rotation between the rollover protective structure and the overhead protective structure.
