- a wall situated between and separating the first cavity from the second cavity;
- and
- a plurality of ribs disposed on a surface of the second cavity, wherein each rib of the plurality of ribs has a longitudinal orientation and is associated with a concave recess disposed directly opposite the rib on an outer surface of the upper portion of the cap, and wherein the concave recess extends along at least part of the length of the associated rib.

- a radially projecting lip circumscribing the opening;
- and
- wherein the cap comprises:
- a lower portion having an open-ended first cavity formed therein, wherein the first cavity is open in a first direction, and wherein the lower portion is inserted into the opening of the receptacle and provides a sealing engagement between an outer surface of the lower portion of the cap and an inner surface of the opening of the receptacle;
- an upper portion having an open-ended second cavity formed therein, wherein the second cavity is open in a second direction opposite the first direction, the second cavity being configured for engagement by a receptacle transport mechanism;
- a wall situated between and separating the first cavity from the second cavity;
- and
- a plurality of ribs disposed on a surface of the second cavity, wherein each rib of the plurality of ribs has a longitudinal orientation and is associated with a concave recess disposed directly opposite the rib on an outer surface of the upper portion of the cap, and wherein the concave recess extends along at least part of the length of the associated rib.
