Power and communication delivery configuration for a water filtration assembly of an appliance

A water filtration assembly, comprising:

• a filtration housing;
• at least one fluid inlet port and at least one fluid outlet port for receiving fluid from a fluid source;
• and
• at least one first electrical contact positioned on the filtration housing, the at least one first electrical contact being separate and spaced apart from the at least one fluid inlet port and the at least one fluid outlet port,
• wherein, when the at least one first electrical contact is arranged to contact at least one second electrical contact of a power or communication source, at least one of power or one or more signals for communication or sensing is provided to the water filtration assembly, and
• wherein the at least one first electrical contact is arranged on the filtration housing to align with the at least one second electrical contact of the power or communication source regardless of an orientation of the filtration housing, and
• wherein the at least one first electrical contact of the water filtration assembly is mounted on a first end of the filtration housing opposite a second end comprising the at least one fluid inlet port and the at least one fluid outlet port.

A water filtration assembly, comprising:

• a filtration housing;
• at least one fluid inlet port and at least one fluid outlet port for receiving fluid from a fluid source;
• and
• at least one first electrical contact positioned on the filtration housing, the at least one first electrical contact being separate and spaced apart from the at least one fluid inlet port and the at least one fluid outlet port,
• wherein, when the at least one first electrical contact is arranged to contact at least one second electrical contact of a power or communication source, at least one of power or one or more signals for communication or sensing is provided to the water filtration assembly,
• wherein the at least one first electrical contact comprises a plurality of first electrical contacts extending around at least a portion of the filtration housing, and
• wherein the plurality of first electrical contacts are arranged in a ring-shaped configuration extending around at least the portion of the filtration housing, and
• wherein the at least one first electrical contact is mounted on a first end of the filtration housing opposite a second end comprising the at least one fluid inlet port and the at least one fluid outlet port.
