Abstract
A composition contains n-heptyl-glyceryl ether and at least one further carefully chosen and synergistically active preservative.
Claims20
A composition, comprising:
- A) n-heptyl-glyceryl ether, and
- B) at least one selected from the group consisting of
- p-anisic acid, benzoic acid, sorbic acid, lactic acid, and salts of any of the before mentioned acids,
- and phenylpropanol,
- and
- wherein the composition has a pH in the range of 4.0 to 8.5.

A method for preserving a formulation, the method comprising:
- adding the following components to the formulation
- A) n-heptyl-glyceryl ether, and
- B) at least one selected from the group consisting of
- p-anisic acid, benzoic acid, sorbic acid, lactic acid and salts of any of the before mentioned acids,
- and phenylpropanol.
