Systems, devices and methods for assessing milk volume expressed from a breast

A measurement system for assessing milk volume expressed from a breast, comprising:

• a measurement device associated with the breast and arranged to facilitate measuring changes in breast volume or milk production or consumption, the measurement device including a first sensor spaced from a second sensor, the first sensor and the second sensor measuring impedance therebetween;
• wherein a change in the impedance between the first sensor and the second sensor on breast tissue is associated with a change in breast size and the change in breast size is sensed, quantified, and correlated by the measurement system to milk production and expression to assess a milk volume expressed from the breast.
