Abstract
A noise cancellation system comprising an audio identification unit configured to identify audio to which a noise cancellation process is to be applied, an output generation unit configured to generate one or more noise cancellation signals in dependence upon the identified audio, and two or more audio output units each configured to reproduce a respective subset of the generated one or more noise cancellation signals, such that the two or more audio output units are configured to produce different outputs.
Claims20
A system comprising:
- one or more processors;
- two or more speakers communicatively coupled to the one or more processors;
- and
- one or more memories storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the one or more processors to perform operations comprising:
- identifying an audio signal to which a noise cancellation process is to be applied;
- generating one or more noise cancellation signals based upon the audio signal, one or more audio reproduction characteristics of each respective speaker of the two or more speakers, and a head-related transfer function for a listener;
- and
- providing the one or more noise cancellation signals to the two or more speakers, wherein providing the one or more noise cancellation signals to the two or more speakers causes each speaker of the two or more speakers to reproduce a respective subset of the one or more noise cancellation signals.
A method comprising:
- identifying an audio signal to which a noise cancellation process is to be applied;
- generating one or more noise cancellation signals based upon the audio signal, one or more audio reproduction characteristics of a respective speaker of two or more speakers, and a head-related transfer function of a listener;
- and
- providing the one or more noise cancellation signals to two or more speakers, wherein providing the one or more noise cancellation signals to the two or more speakers causes each speaker of the two or more speakers to reproduce a respective subset of the one or more noise cancellation signals.
A non-transitory machine-readable storage medium which stores computer software which, when executed by a computer, causes the computer to perform a method comprising:
- identifying an audio signal to which a noise cancellation process is to be applied;
- generating one or more noise cancellation signals based upon the audio signal, one or more audio reproduction characteristics of a respective speaker of two or more speakers, and a head-related transfer function of a listener;
- and
- providing the one or more noise cancellation signals to two or more speakers, wherein providing the one or more noise cancellation signals to the two or more speakers causes each speaker of the two or more speakers to reproduce a respective subset of the one or more noise cancellation signals.
