An image forming apparatus may include a holding container that holds a toner containing an antibacterial agent, and an image forming unit that forms an antibacterial region by applying the toner supplied from the holding container to a recording material by performing an image forming process. An image forming apparatus comprising:
- a holding container that holds a toner containing an antibacterial agent;
- and
- an image forming unit that forms an antibacterial region by applying the toner supplied from the holding container to a recording material by performing an image forming process,
- wherein the antibacterial region is formed on a partial region that is a partial region of a first surface of the recording material and that is likely to be touched by a user's finger.
