Abstract
A heat exchanger in a system and manufacturing method for the heat exchanger. The heat exchanger includes an alignment rib positioned in a stack of plates. The alignment rib includes multiple non-circular in cross-section protrusions that mate with openings in adjoining plates in the stack of plates.

A heat exchanger, comprising:
- an alignment rib positioned in a stack of plates;
- wherein the stack of plates includes an inlet port and an outlet port;
- and
- wherein the alignment rib includes multiple non-circular in cross-section protrusions that mate with openings in adjoining plates in the stack of plates.
