Cutting device

An electric cutting device, comprising:

• a pair of cutting blades configured to clamp and cut an object;
• an electric motor configured to generate a driving force necessary for operating the cutting blades;
• an operation switch configured to be switched between an ON state and an OFF state by a user operation;
• and
• a controller configured to:
• control an operation of the electric motor;
• and
• determine whether cutting of the object by the cutting blades is completed;
• and
• wherein after the operation switch enters into the ON state and the pair of cutting blades start operating in a closing direction, the controller is configured to:
• start an operation of opening the pair of cutting blades in a case where the cutting of the object is completed while the operation switch is kept in the ON state;
• and
• stop an operation of closing the pair of cutting blades in a case where the operation switch changes from the ON state to the OFF state at a timing before the cutting of the object is completed,
• wherein the operation switch includes a first operation switch and a second operation switch provided at different positions, and
• wherein the controller is configured to:
• in a case where only the first operation switch enters into the ON state,
• perform normal control to perform the operation of opening the pair of cutting blades after performing the operation of closing the pair of cutting blades, and
• in a case where both the first operation switch and the second operation device switch enter into the ON state,
• perform closed-keep control to maintain the pair of cutting blades in a closed state after performing the operation of closing the pair of cutting blades.
