Abstract
An torque pattern adjustment apparatus including a display configured to display a first torque pattern corresponding to a gait cycle, and a generator configured to generate a second torque pattern by adjusting at least a portion of the first torque pattern in response to a reception of an input, and a torque pattern adjustment method using the same may be provided. The first torque pattern may be applied to a joint of a user.
Claims13
An electronic device comprising:
- a display;
- and
- at least one processor configured to:
- control the display to display a first torque intensity and a second torque intensity, the first torque intensity for relating to a forward leg movement and the second torque intensity for relating to a backward leg movement of at least one leg of a user of a walking aid apparatus;
- adjust a first torque intensity in the forward leg direction and the second torque intensity in a backward leg direction based on at least one user input, so as to provide adjusted first and second torque intensities, respectively,
- adjust a time that the adjusted first torque intensity is to be applied to the at least one leg of the user and the adjusted second torque intensity is to be applied to the at least one leg of the user based on at least one user input, and
- control the walking aid apparatus to apply a first torque corresponding to the adjusted first torque intensity and a second torque corresponding to the adjusted second torque intensity to the at least one leg of the user based on the adjusted time.

A method of controlling a walking aid apparatus, the method comprising:
- displaying a first torque intensity and a second torque intensity, the first torque intensity for relating to a forward leg movement and the second torque intensity for relating to a backward leg movement of at least one leg of a user wearing a walking aid apparatus;
- receiving, via at least one user input, an adjustment of the first torque intensity in a forward leg direction and/or an adjustment of the second torque intensity in a backward leg direction so as to change the first torque intensity in the forward leg direction and/or to change the second torque intensity in the backward leg direction, so as to provide adjusted first and/or second torque intensities,
- receiving, via at least one user input, an adjustment to a time that the adjusted first torque intensity is to be applied to the at least one leg of the user, and/or an adjustment to a time that the adjusted second torque intensity is to be applied to the at least one leg of the user, and
- controlling the walking aid apparatus to apply at least one of the adjusted first and second torque intensities to at least one leg of the user based on the adjusted time.
