Toy vehicle track with lift, release and stunt apparatuses

A releasing apparatus for releasing a toy vehicle on a segment of a toy track, the segment having an upper end, the releasing apparatus comprising:

• a carrier movable towards the upper end of the segment, and including a vehicle holder comprises a pair of calipers comprising opposed vehicle engagement surfaces, wherein the calipers are pivotable in relation to each other to vary the calipers between:
• a vehicle-holding configuration in which the vehicle engagement surfaces clamp the toy vehicle between the vehicle engagement surfaces to hold the toy vehicle;
• and
• a vehicle-releasing configuration in which the vehicle engagement surfaces disengage from the toy vehicle to release the toy vehicle;
• and
• a stop structure attached to the toy track, and comprising at least one caliper-actuating member;
• and
• wherein, in use, when the carrier moves towards the upper end of the segment of the toy track relative to the stop structure, the at least one caliper-actuating member engages at least one of the calipers to urge the calipers from the vehicle-holding configuration to the vehicle-releasing configuration.
