Methods of suppressing fire

A method of distributing a fire-suppressing mist of fluid, the method comprising:

• directing a first plurality of flows of the fluid in a first direction to a vicinity of a fire from a plurality of first offices, the plurality of first orifices each having a centerline;
• directing a second plurality of flows of the fluid in a second direction to the vicinity of the fire from a plurality of second offices, the plurality of second orifices each having a centerline and wherein each centerline of the plurality of second orifices comprises a circumferential offset, δ, from the centerline of one of the plurality of the first orifices, wherein a periphery of at least some of the plurality of second orifices at least partially overlaps with a periphery of at least one of the plurality of first orifices in a circumferential direction;
• and
• impacting at least some of the first plurality of flows from the plurality of first offices with at least some of the second plurality of flows to generate the fire-suppressing mist of fluid.
