Synchronization/resynchronization of data assets based on wireless dead zone geofence changes

A data asset synchronization system comprising:

• at least one processor coupled to at least one memory containing instructions which, when executed by the at least one processor, causes the system to perform processes comprising:
• monitoring changes in a dead zone volume relative to a location of a mobile device in communication with a server system via a wireless communication service;
• determining that the dead zone volume is approaching the location of the mobile device such that the mobile device is predicted to enter the dead zone volume due to the changes in the dead zone volume relative to the location of the mobile device;
• determining at least one data asset that will be needed for offline work within the dead zone volume;
• automatically transmitting the at least one data asset from the server system to the mobile device via the wireless communication service prior to the mobile device entering the dead zone volume;
• determining that the mobile device subsequently is no longer in the dead zone volume;
• and
• automatically resynchronizing offline data stored locally by the mobile device while in the dead zone volume with corresponding data stored on the server system.

A computer program product comprising at least one tangible, non-transitory computer-readable storage medium having embodied therein computer program instructions which, when executed by one or more processors of a system, cause the system to perform computer processes comprising:

• monitoring changes in a dead zone volume relative to a location of a mobile device in communication with a server system via a wireless communication service;
• determining that the dead zone volume is approaching the location of the mobile device such that the mobile device is predicted to enter the dead zone volume due to the changes in the dead zone volume relative to the location of the mobile device;
• determining at least one data asset that will be needed for offline work within the dead zone volume;
• automatically transmitting the at least one data asset from the server system to the mobile device via the wireless communication service prior to the mobile device entering the dead zone volume;
• determining that the mobile device subsequently is no longer in the dead zone volume;
• and
• automatically resynchronizing offline data stored locally by the mobile device while in the dead zone volume with corresponding data stored on the server system.
