Switching unit for a vehicle

A switching unit for a vehicle, the switching unit comprising:

• a membrane defining a first opening adapted to receive a portion of at least one rotary switch;
• a housing defining a second opening adapted to be aligned with the first opening to receive the portion of the at least one rotary switch;
• the at least one rotary switch at least partially disposed in the housing;
• at least one knob mounted on the at least one rotary switch, the at least one knob adapted to be rotated to actuate the at least one rotary switch;
• a sealing member positioned on the housing in the second opening, around the at least one rotary switch, between the at least one knob and the housing,
• wherein the sealing member is adapted to seal a contact portion formed between the at least one knob and the at least one rotary switch, and wherein the sealing member comprises:
• a metallic part defining a periphery adapted to be aligned with the second opening of the housing;
• and
• an elastic part positioned within the periphery of the metallic part, wherein an outer periphery of the elastic part is positioned within the periphery of the metallic part, and an inner periphery of the elastic part is positioned along an outer periphery of an inner protruded portion of the at least one knob.
