Toner

A toner, comprising:

• a toner particle comprising a binder resin and a release agent;
• the binder resin comprising a crystalline resin A which comprises monomer units derived from monomers (a), (b) and (c), and a monomer unit derived from a styrene;
• monomer (a) being at least one member selected from the group consisting of (meth)acrylic acid esters having an alkyl group with 18 to 36 carbon atoms;
• monomer (b) being at least one member selected from the group consisting of methacrylonitrile and acrylonitrile;
• monomer (c) being at least one member selected from the group consisting of ethyl methacrylate, n-butyl methacrylate and t-butyl methacrylate;
• and
• the release agent being at least one member selected from the group consisting of hydrocarbon-based waxes and ester waxes, wherein
• 0.20≤(SP(c)−SP(a))≤1.80 when SP(a) denotes the SP value (J/cm3)0.5 of the monomer unit derived from monomer (a) and SP(c) denotes the SP value (J/cm3)0.5 of the monomer unit derived from monomer (c), and
• in differential scanning calorimetry (DSC) measurements of the toner
• 50≤Tp≤70
• 20≤ΔH≤70
• 0.00≤ΔHTp-3/ΔH≤0.30
• when Tp (° C.) denotes peak temperature of an endothermic peak derived from the crystalline resin A in a first temperature increase, ΔH (J/g) denotes an endothermic quantity of the endothermic peak derived from the crystalline resin A in the first temperature increase, and ΔHTp-3 (J/g) denotes an endothermic quantity from a temperature 20.0° C. lower than Tp to a temperature 3.0° C. lower than Tp.
