Systems and methods for obtaining downhole fluid properties

A downhole logging system, comprising:

• a bottom-hole assembly;
• a conveying member coupled to the bottom-hole assembly;
• a fluid analysis tool forming at least a portion of the bottom-hole assembly, the fluid analysis tool comprising:
• a plurality of arms movable between a retracted position and one or more expanded positions away from a central axis of the fluid analysis tool, and disposed circumferentially around the fluid analysis tool, wherein the plurality of arms are at an angle with respect to the central axis;
• a plurality of fluid sensors coupled to the plurality of arms, each of the plurality of fluid sensors individually addressable, such that data obtained from each fluid sensor is associated with the respective sensor, the data from each fluid sensor associated with a specific different location in the wellbore than at least one other of the plurality of fluid sensors, the data associated with at least one of the plurality of fluid sensors indexed by a time stamp and an arm angle position to identify where and when in the wellbore such data was collected, wherein a fluid sensor of the plurality of the fluid sensors is movably coupled to an arm of the plurality of arms and configured to pivot across a plurality of angles with respect to the arm;
• and
• wherein the angle of the fluid sensor with respect to the arm is associated with the angle of the arm with respect to the central axis of the tool body.

A method of performing downhole fluid analysis, comprising:

• lowering a fluid analysis tool into a well with a plurality of arms of the fluid analysis tool in a retracted position, wherein the plurality of arms are at a minimum distance from a central axis of the tool;
• deploying the plurality of arms outwardly from the central axis into an expanded position upon the fluid analysis tool reaching a certain depth in the well, wherein the plurality of arms are disposed circumferentially around the fluid analysis tool and are at an angle with respect to the central axis of the tool;
• causing a plurality of fluid sensors coupled to the plurality of arms to pivot from the plurality of arms into a position wherein an angle between the sensor and an axis of the well is within a set range, each of the plurality of fluid sensors individually addressable, such that data obtained from each fluid sensor is associated with the respective sensor, the data from each fluid sensor associated with a specific different location in the wellbore than at least one other of the plurality of fluid sensors, the data associated with at least one of the plurality of fluid sensors indexed by a time stamp and an arm angle position to identify where and when in the wellbore such data was collected;
• obtaining a plurality of measurements of well fluid via the plurality of fluid sensors, each fluid sensor comprising a piezoelectric helm resonator, an optical sensor, and a spectroscopy sensor;
• retracting the plurality of arms into the retracted position;
• and
• moving the fluid analysis tool out of the well or to a different position in the well.
