The present invention provides anti-C1q antibodies and methods of using the same.

A composition comprising an anti-C1q antibody, wherein the anti-C1q antibody comprises a set of complementarity-determining regions (CDRs) in which:
- (a) VL-CDR1 consists of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:5, VL-CDR2 consists of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:6, and VL-CDR3 consists of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:7;
- and
- (b) VH-CDR1 consists of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:9, VH-CDR2 consists of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
- 10, and VH-CDR3 consists of the amino acid sequence of SEQ ID NO:
