Claims19
A method of operating an elevator system during a fire evacuation, the method comprising:
- receiving a fire detection from a fire alarm system indicating a fire;
- detecting a fire intensity using a fire quantity measurement system;
- and
- determining a discharge landing for the elevator system in response to at least the fire intensity
- wherein the fire intensity is based on a number of fire intensity sensors in the fire quantity measurement system that have detected heat or smoke;
- wherein the discharge landing is changed based on the fire detection, the fire intensity and a people count.
An occupant evacuation system for operating an elevator system when a fire is detected by a fire alarm system, the occupant evacuation system comprising:
- a fire quantity measurement system configured to detect a fire intensity of the fire;
- and
- an analytics engine configured to determine a discharge landing for the elevator system in response to at least the fire intensity;
- wherein the fire intensity is based on a number of fire intensity sensors in the fire quantity measurement system that have detected heat or smoke;
- wherein the discharge landing is changed based on the fire detection, the fire intensity and a people count.
