Control device and control method

A control device configured to control an industrial machine, the control device comprising:

• a display control unit configured to divide a screen to be displayed by a display unit into a plurality of regions, and respectively display a display element pertaining to execution of an operation by the industrial machine in each of the plurality of regions;
• a detection unit configured to, in a case of combining and displaying a plurality of the display elements, detect a user operation with respect to pertaining to execution of the operation by the industrial machine and an amount of display time in which a display pattern indicating the combination of the plurality of the display elements pertaining to execution of the operation by the industrial machine is displayed without change;
• and
• a saving unit configured to, in a case where the user operation pertaining to execution of the operation by the industrial machine, which was detected by the detection unit, is a predefined predetermined operation or in a case where the amount of display time in which the display pattern indicating the combination of the plurality of the display elements pertaining to execution of the operation by the industrial machine has been displayed and which was detected by the detection unit for the display of the display pattern is equal to or greater than a preset predetermined amount of time, automatically save in display pattern data corresponding to a user, as a desired display pattern, the display pattern for a time at which detection was performed without requiring the user to perform an operation for saving a setting.
