Fiber optic dead-end cable clamp with a jaw actuator assembly between a jaw member and a cavity-defining-body base

A dead-end cable clamp comprising:

• a body having a base, a first side wall and a second side wall defining a jaw receiving cavity, the body having a first width at a first end of the body and a second width at a second end of the body, the second width being greater than the first width;
• a jaw member movably positioned within the jaw receiving cavity between a loading position and a clamping position;
• a jaw actuator assembly positioned within the jaw receiving cavity between a bottom surface of the jaw member and the base of the body, the jaw actuator assembly being operatively coupled to the bottom surface of the jaw member, such that at least a portion of the jaw actuator assembly is movable with the jaw member so that when in the loading position the at least a portion of the jaw actuator assembly holds the jaw member in the loading position until pressure is applied to the jaw member releasing the at least a portion of the jaw actuator assembly such that the jaw actuator assembly moves the jaw member to the clamping position;
• and
• a bail wire having each end coupled to the second end of the body.

A dead-end cable clamp comprising:

• a body having a base, a first side wall and a second side wall defining a jaw receiving cavity;
• a first jaw member movably positioned within the jaw receiving cavity;
• a second jaw member movably positioned within the jaw receiving cavity;
• and
• a jaw actuator assembly being positioned within the jaw receiving cavity between the body and the bottom surface of the first and second jaw members, the jaw actuator assembly being operatively coupled to the bottom surface of the first and second jaw members, such that at least a portion of the jaw actuator assembly is movable with the first and second jaw members so that when in the loading position the at least a portion of the jaw actuator assembly holds the first and second jaw members in the loading position until pressure is applied to at least one of the first and second jaw members releasing the at least a portion of the jaw actuator assembly such that the jaw actuator assembly moves the first and second jaw members to the clamping position.
