Abstract
A heating, ventilation, and/or air conditioning (HVAC) system includes a fan deck and an enclosure cooperatively defining a track, a fan configured to direct air flow through the HVAC system, and a mount positioned in engagement with the track and in the enclosure. The mount is coupled to the fan and is configured to move along the track, thereby adjusting a position of the fan in the enclosure.
Claims17
A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, comprising:
- a fan deck and an enclosure cooperatively defining a track;
- a fan configured to direct air flow through the HVAC system;
- and
- a mount positioned in engagement with the track and in the enclosure, wherein the mount is coupled to the fan and is configured to move along the track, thereby adjusting a position of the fan in the enclosure,
- wherein the enclosure comprises a panel, the mount comprises a plate, and the panel and the plate are configured to couple to one another to secure the position of the fan in the enclosure,
- wherein the fan comprises an inlet, and the inlet is configured to couple to the plate of the mount, wherein the fan is configured to draw the air flow into the enclosure along an axis of the panel, the plate, and the inlet.
A fan section of a heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, comprising:
- a fan assembly comprising a plate and a fan coupled to the plate;
- an enclosure comprising a panel;
- and
- a fan deck comprising a bracket, wherein the plate of the fan assembly engages with the bracket of the fan deck and the panel of the enclosure in an installed configuration of the fan assembly,
- wherein the plate is a first plate, the fan comprises an inlet coupled to the first plate, and the fan assembly comprises a second plate coupled to a motor, wherein the first plate is coupled to the panel such that the fan assembly is configured to draw an air flow into the enclosure along an axis of the panel, the first plate, and the inlet.
A heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system, comprising:
- a fan deck;
- an enclosure comprising a panel coupled to the fan deck;
- and
- a fan assembly comprising a mount and an inlet of a fan coupled to the mount, wherein the mount is configured to engage with the fan deck and the panel of the enclosure in an installed configuration of the fan assembly to enable an air flow into the enclosure along an axis of the mount, the panel, and the inlet, and the mount is configured to slide along the fan deck and the enclosure.
