Abstract
A method of controlling a gyroscopically-stabilized projectile, comprising a control system producing a control signal, a rotating aerodynamic shell, and a reaction mass system responsive to the control signal, the method comprising: imparting rotational and translational kinetic energy to induce gyroscopic stabilization of the projectile about a gyroscopic axis and a movement of the projectile along a flight path; interacting the shell with surrounding air while moving, to induce aerodynamic forces; generating the control signal from the control system; and altering a state of the reaction wheel system selectively in dependence on the control signal, to alter the flight path.

A controller, comprising:
- a spatial sensor;
- a memory, configured to store a rule set for a spatial game;
- a wireless transceiver, configured to communicate with a cryptographically-secured distributed ledger configured to automatically execute a smart contract comprising self-executing code and to maintain records via a distributed trust architecture supported by a plurality of other controllers;
- and
- at least one automated processor, configured to:
- receive information from the spatial sensor,
- apply the rule set within a smart contract comprising the self-executing code deployed on the cryptographically-secured distributed ledger to determine scoring information for the spatial game, and
- communicate the scoring information to the cryptographically-secured distributed ledger to maintain a record of the scoring information in accordance with the distributed trust architecture.
A control system, comprising:
- a sensor;
- a memory, configured to store rules of a game involving a projectile;
- a wireless transceiver, configured to communicate with a plurality of other control systems together implementing a cryptographically-secured distributed ledger configured to execute a smart contract and to maintain records via a distributed trust architecture supported by a plurality of other control systems;
- at least one automated processor, configured to receive information from the sensor and the plurality of other control systems, apply the rules within a smart contract comprising self-executing code deployed on the cryptographically-secured distributed ledger to determine game information, and communicate the game information to the cryptographically-secured distributed ledger to maintain a record of the game information.
A controller for a projectile having an aerodynamic surface configured to rotate about an axis of rotation during flight, comprising:
- a rotation sensor input configured to provide real-time information on a phase of rotation of the aerodynamic surface about the axis;
- a spatial sensor input configured to receive information to determine a spatial characteristic of the projectile;
- a memory configured to store rules of a game involving the projectile;
- a radio frequency transceiver configured to communicate with a distributed ledger;
- an aerodynamic feature, configured to selectively modulate an aerodynamic interaction with a fluid medium surrounding the projectile which varies according to a control signal;
- and
- a control system, configured to:
- generate a control signal defining a rotational phase lead or phase lag with respect to the rotation sensor input;
- and
- receive the spatial sensor input, apply the rules, and communicate game information to the distributed ledger.
