System for the formation of fibrin foam

A device for the formation of fibrin foam therein, said device comprising:

• a base structured to be rotationally driven and including a separation assembly disposed thereon,
• said separation assembly structured for the receipt of a blood sample therein;
• said separation assembly structured to separate said blood sample into at least a plasma segment and a packed cell segment under centrifugal force concurrent to a driven rotation of said base;
• said base further comprising a reaction assembly;
• said reaction assembly disposed and cooperatively structured with said separation assembly for the receipt of said plasma segment therein subsequent to said separation of said blood sample;
• said separation assembly disposed in connection with at least one actuation device, said at least one actuation device structured and disposed to effectuate the fluid transfer of said plasma segment to said reaction assembly;
• and
• said reaction assembly further disposed to form a fibrin foam therein under said centrifugal force, concurrent to said driven rotation of said base.

A device for the formation of fibrin foam therein, said device comprising:

• a base structured to be rotationally driven and including a separation assembly and a reaction assembly disposed thereon;
• said separation assembly structured for the receipt of a blood sample therein;
• said separation assembly structured to separate said blood sample into at least a plasma segment and a packed cell segment under centrifugal force concurrent to a driven rotation of said base;
• said separation assembly and said reaction assembly relatively disposed on said base to create a pressure differential there-between, concurrent to continuous centrifugation;
• at least one actuation device operatively associated with said separation assembly;
• said reaction assembly disposed for the receipt of said plasma segment therein subsequent to said separation;
• said pressure differential and said at least one actuation device concurrently operative to effectuate fluid transfer of said plasma segment to said reaction assembly;
• and
• said reaction assembly further disposed to form a fibrin foam therein under centrifugal force concurrent to said driven rotation of said base.

A method for the creation of fibrin foam comprising density sufficient for application in the car or nose, said method comprising:

• disposing a blood sample within at least one separation chamber disposed on a base structured to be rotationally driven at varying rotational speeds;
• applying centrifugal force concurrent to a driven rotation of the base for separation of the blood sample into at least a plasma segment and a packed cell segment within the at least one separation chamber;
• transferring the plasma segment to at least one pressurized reaction chamber disposed on the base and concurrently mixing the plasma segment with sufficient quantities of a gas and a reactant composition to form a fibrin foam, according to the centrifugal force concurrent to the driven rotation of the base;
• applying additional centrifugal force concurrent to an increased driven rotation of the base for separating the fibrin foam from water, and
• removing the fibrin foam from the at least one pressurized reaction chamber.
