Abstract
An aircraft portion includes a piece of equipment including an outer wall delimiting an enclosure and a door facing an aisle. The equipment door is displaceable between a closed configuration and an open configuration. The aisle has a maximum width when the door is in the closed configuration and a minimum width when the door is in the open configuration. When the door is in the closed configuration and in case of depressurization, the door is displaced and kept into an emergency configuration. The aisle has an optimum width which corresponds to a width sufficient for simultaneously letting air escape from the enclosure and enabling passengers to walk down the aisle past the piece of equipment.
Claims20
An aircraft portion of an aircraft comprising:
- a fuselage delimiting an aircraft cabin;
- a piece of equipment delimiting with another piece of equipment or with a wall of the aircraft portion an aisle extending along an aisle axis, the aisle having a width measured according to a transversal axis substantially perpendicular to the aisle axis, the piece of equipment comprising:
- an outer wall delimiting an enclosure;
- a door facing the aisle and comprising at least a first leaf and at least a second leaf, each of the at least one first leaf and at least one second leaf being rotatably mounted onto the outer wall respectively along a first axis of rotation and a second axis of rotation, the door being displaceable between:
- a closed configuration in which the at least one first leaf and the at least one second leaf prevent access to the enclosure by extending both in a plane substantially parallel to the aisle axis and to a vertical axis substantially perpendicular to the aisle axis and to the transversal axis;
- an open configuration in which the at least one first leaf and the at least one second leaf extend at least partially into the aisle to give access to the enclosure;
- wherein, by the door, the aisle has:
- a maximum width when the door is in the closed configuration;
- a minimum width when the door is in the open configuration;
- and
- wherein, when the door is in the closed configuration and in case of depressurization, the door is displaced and kept into an emergency configuration which is between the closed configuration and the open configuration, wherein by the door, the aisle has an optimum width which is between the maximum width and the minimum width and which corresponds to a width sufficient for simultaneously:
- letting air escape from the enclosure;
- and
- enabling passengers to walk down the aisle past the piece of equipment.
