Abstract
A propulsor assembly for a marine drive has a propulsor, an adapter having a stem which supports the propulsor, a wear resistant snubber on the stem, and an elastomeric member which is sandwiched between the wear resistant snubber and the stem, the elastomeric member being configured to bias the wear resistant snubber radially outwardly into engagement with the propulsor.
Claims20
An assembly for coupling a propulsor to a propulsor shaft of a marine drive, the assembly comprising:
- an adapter having a stem for supporting the propulsor,
- a wear resistant snubber on the stem, and
- an elastomeric member sandwiched between the wear resistant snubber and the stem, the elastomeric member being configured to bias the wear resistant snubber radially outwardly into engagement with the propulsor.
A propulsor assembly for a marine drive, the propulsor assembly comprising:
- a propulsor,
- an adapter having a stem that supports the propulsor,
- a wear resistant snubber on the stem, and
- an elastomeric member sandwiched between the wear resistant snubber and the stem, the elastomeric member being configured to bias the wear resistant snubber radially outwardly into engagement with the propulsor.
A propulsor assembly comprising:
- a propulsor shaft,
- a propulsor, and
- an adapter having a stem that supports the propulsor, the adapter comprising a through-bore having an inner radius with a plurality of splines and a beveled inner abutment surface,
- wherein the propulsor shaft comprises a plurality of splines engaged with a plurality of splines on the inner radius of the adapter, and wherein the propulsor shaft comprises a beveled outer abutment surface, and
- wherein the beveled inner abutment surface and beveled outer abutment surface are engaged so as to prevent axial inward movement of the adapter on the propulsor shaft.
