Claims5
A method of delivering a bone repair composition to a subject, comprising:
- implanting a bone implant into the subject;
- and
- suturing the implant closed prior to implanting into the subject,
- wherein the bone implant comprises:
- a hollow cylindrical or semi-cylindrical tube shaped implant formed by placing a plurality of demineralized bone fibers (DBFs) in a cylindrical or semi-cylindrical mold, wherein the plurality of DBFs are cut from demineralized bone in a direction parallel to the orientation of collagen fibers to produce DBFs having a length in a range from about 1 cm to about 30 cm and a width in a range from about 0.05 mm to about 4 mm.
