Abstract
A device including a magnetoresistance sensor for detecting a magnetic field from an ear cavity is disclosed. Methods for detecting a magnetic field from an ear cavity with a magnetoresistance sensor are also disclosed.
Claims17
A device, comprising:
- a first magnetoresistance sensor configured to detect magnetoencephalography (MEG) signals from a first ear cavity of a user;
- a first enclosure configured to magnetically shield the first magnetoresistance sensor, wherein the first magnetoresistance sensor is positioned entirely within the first enclosure, and wherein the first enclosure has an opening through which the first magnetoresistance sensor is configured to detect the MEG signals propagated from the user through the opening of the first enclosure;
- an audio sensor configured to detect audio signals;
- and
- circuitry coupled to the first magnetoresistance sensor and the audio sensor, the circuitry configured to:
- determine correlations between the incoming audio signals and the MEG signals;
- and
- analyze a cognitive brain function of the user based on determined correlations between the MEG signals and the incoming audio signals.
