Abstract
A wireless router may comprise a spherical housing, and may move an antenna within the housing to different positions. The movement of the antenna may direct a wireless beam between various positions. The movement may also or alternatively be based on one or more device identifiers associated with one or more devices.
Claims31
A method comprising:
- configuring, by a computing device, a wireless beam schedule based on device usage at a plurality of locations, wherein the configuring comprises:
- sending, to a user device, a message requesting that the user device be moved to a desired location for an entry in the wireless beam schedule;
- and
- creating the entry in the wireless beam schedule based on a current location of the user device, wherein the wireless beam schedule indicates times for providing data service at a plurality of different locations, wherein the configuring further comprises, for each location of the plurality of different locations:
- receiving, from the user device, an indication of a time range for an entry corresponding to the location;
- and
- adding the time range to the entry corresponding to the location;
- and
- moving, based on the wireless beam schedule and a current time, a wireless beam from a first position to a second position.
A computing device comprising:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing device to:
- configure a wireless beam schedule based on device usage at a plurality of locations, wherein the configuring comprises:
- sending, to a user device, a message requesting that the user device be moved to a desired location for an entry in the wireless beam schedule;
- and
- creating the entry in the wireless beam schedule based on a current location of the user device, wherein the wireless beam schedule indicates times for providing data service at a plurality of different locations, wherein the configuring further comprises, for each location of the plurality of different locations:
- receiving, from the user device, an indication of a time range for an entry corresponding to the location;
- and
- adding the time range to the entry corresponding to the location;
- and
- move, based on the wireless beam schedule and a current time, a wireless beam from a first position to a second position.
At least one non-transitory computer readable storage medium storing computer readable instructions which, when executed, cause:
- configuring a wireless beam schedule based on device usage at a plurality of locations, wherein the configuring comprises:
- sending, to a user device, a message requesting that the user device be moved to a desired location for an entry in the wireless beam schedule;
- and
- creating the entry in the wireless beam schedule based on a current location of the user device, wherein the wireless beam schedule indicates times for providing data service to devices at a plurality of different locations, wherein the configuring further comprises, for each location of the plurality of different locations:
- receiving, from the user device, an indication of a time range for an entry corresponding to the location;
- and
- adding the time range to the entry corresponding to the location;
- and
- moving, based on the wireless beam schedule and a current time, a wireless beam from a first position to a second position.
A system comprising:
- a computing device and a user device,
- wherein the computing device comprises:
- one or more processors;
- and
- memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors, cause the computing device to:
- configure a wireless beam schedule based on device usage at a plurality of locations,
- wherein the configuring comprises:
- sending, to the user device, a message requesting that the user device be moved to a desired location for an entry in the wireless beam schedule;
- and
- creating the entry in the wireless beam schedule based on a current location of the user device, wherein the wireless beam schedule indicates times for providing data service at a plurality of different locations;
- wherein the configuring further comprises, for each location of the plurality of different locations:
- receiving, from the user device, an indication of a time range for an entry corresponding to the location;
- and
- adding the time range to the entry corresponding to the location;
- and
- move, based on the wireless beam schedule and a current time, a wireless beam from a first position to a second position;
- and
- wherein the user device comprises one or more processors and memory storing instructions that, when executed by the one or more processors of the user device, cause the user device to communicate with the computing device via the wireless beam.
