Abstract
Provided is a sound transducer arrangement according to the principle of wave field synthesis. At least one first sound transducer is coupled to a respective acoustic low-pass filter device.
Claims24
A sound transducer arrangement according to principles of wave field synthesis for alignment of at least one sound wave front, comprising:
- at least one first sound transducer comprising any of:
- a mid-frequency sound transducer, a low-mid-frequency sound transducer, or a low-frequency sound transducer;
- an acoustic low-pass filter device coupled to an output of the at least one first sound transducer,
- wherein the acoustic low-pass filter device comprises a constricted opening smaller than an opening of the at least one first sound transducer,
- wherein an acoustic center of the acoustic low-pass filter device is aligned with a common acoustic center of the at least one first sound transducer, and
- wherein the common acoustic center of the at least one first sound transducer is displaceable by the acoustic low-pass filter device for setting a spatial radiation characteristic of the sound transducer arrangement for a homogeneous structure of elementary waves of the sound transducer arrangement;
- and
- at least one second sound transducer of the sound transducer arrangement, wherein the at least one second sound transducer comprises high-frequency sound transducers arranged on a surface plane of the acoustic low-pass filter device.

A method for operating a sound transducer arrangement according to principles of wave field synthesis, comprising:
- filtering a signal of at least one first sound transducer of the sound transducer arrangement with an acoustic low-pass filter device, wherein the acoustic low-pass filter device comprises an oscillating air mass in a constricted air outlet opening smaller than an opening of the at least one first sound transducer;
- coupling common acoustic centers of the at least one first sound transducer and the acoustic low-pass filter device, wherein the at least one first sound transducer is formed as any of:
- a mid-frequency sound transducer, a low-mid-frequency sound transducer, or a low-frequency sound transducer arranged on a surface plane of the acoustic low-pass filter device, and further coupling to an acoustic center of at least one second sound transducer, of the sound transducer arrangement, wherein the at least one second sound transducers comprises high-frequency sound transducers;
- and
- wherein the common acoustic center of the at least one first sound transducer is displaceable by the acoustic low-pass filter device for setting a spatial radiation characteristic of the sound transducer arrangement for a homogeneous structure of elementary waves of the sound transducer arrangement.
