Abstract
An electrolyte solution additive, a non-aqueous electrolyte solution including the same, and a lithium secondary battery including the same are disclosed herein. In some embodiments, an electrolyte solution additive is represented by Formula 1 wherein, in Formula 1, R is a substituted or unsubstituted alkylene group having 1 to 5 carbon atoms.

An electrolyte solution for a lithium secondary battery, comprising:
- a lithium salt;
- an organic solvent;
- and
- an additive comprising a compound represented by Formula 1a:
