System and method providing for self-healing visual codes

A system comprising a server adapted to:

• receive, from a user electronic device, a request for source information, the request including a data payload associated with a scan of a visual code;
• detect supplemental information associated with the scan of the visual code, wherein the supplemental information includes location information associated with the scan of the visual code;
• match the scan of the visual code with one of a plurality of stored visual codes based on comparing the data payload with data payloads associated with the plurality of stored visual codes and based on comparing the location information associated with the scan of the visual code with location information associated with the plurality of stored visual codes;
• and
• transmit, to the user electronic device, the source information in response to the match.

A computer-implemented method, comprising:

• receiving a request from a user electronic device, the request including a data payload associated with a scan of a visual code;
• detecting supplemental information associated with the scan of the visual code, wherein the supplemental information includes image based information associated with the scan of the visual code;
• matching the scan of the visual code with one of a plurality of stored visual codes based on comparing the data payload with data payloads associated with the plurality of stored visual codes and based on comparing the image based information associated with the scan of the visual code with image based information associated with the plurality of stored visual codes;
• and
• transmitting to the user electronic device, a response to the request in response to the matching.

A computer-implemented method, comprising:

• receiving a request from a user electronic device, the request including a data payload associated with a scan of a visual code;
• detecting supplemental information associated with the scan of the visual code, wherein the supplemental information includes audio based information associated with the scan of the visual code;
• matching the scan of the visual code with one of a plurality of stored visual codes based on comparing the data payload with data payloads associated with the plurality of stored visual codes and based on comparing the audio based information associated with the scan of the visual code with audio based information associated with the plurality of stored visual codes;
• and
• transmitting to the user electronic device, a response to the request in response to the matching.
