Abstract
Devices, methods, and systems for detecting airflow and temperature conditions of a fire sensing device are described herein. One device includes an airflow sensor and a controller configured to receive a measurement from the airflow sensor, compare the measurement to a baseline range, and transmit a message responsive to the measurement being outside of the baseline range.
Claims19
A fire sensing device, comprising:
- an airflow sensor;
- and
- a controller configured to:
- receive a measurement of airflow from the airflow sensor;
- compare the airflow measurement to a baseline airflow;
- determine relocation is needed responsive to the airflow measurement exceeding the baseline airflow;
- and
- transmit a message to a fire control panel to direct a technician to move the fire sensing device, wherein the technician relocates the fire sensing device.

A method of operating a fire sensing device, comprising:
- detecting airflow within the fire sensing device;
- determining relocation of the fire sensing device is needed responsive to the airflow exceeding a baseline airflow;
- transmitting a message to a fire control panel to direct a technician to move the fire sensing device responsive to determining relocation of the fire sensing device is needed;
- and
- relocating the fire sensing device.
