Abstract
A method for transporting non-flowable powders includes the following steps: mixing and suspending powders and carbon dioxide in the solid form, with the introduction of a cryogenic fluid, to obtain a cryogenic suspension; setting the cryogenic suspension in motion to enable transport thereof, controlling the motion of the cryogenic suspension according to one or more parameter(s) related to the first mixing and suspending step.
Claims12
A method for transporting non-flowable powders, wherein it includes the following steps:
- a) mixing and suspending powders and carbon dioxide in the solid form (CO2(s)), with the introduction of a cryogenic fluid, to obtain a cryogenic suspension, the volumetric mass proportions of the powders and of the carbon dioxide (CO2(s)) meeting the following equation (i):
- 40%<[powders]vol+[CO2(s)]vol<80%, (i):
- where:
- [powders]vol is the volumetric mass proportion of the powders,
- [CO2(s)]vol is the volumetric mass proportion of carbon dioxide in the solid form (CO2(s)),
- b) setting the cryogenic suspension in motion to enable transport thereof,
- c) controlling the motion of the cryogenic suspension according to one or more parameter(s) (Co) related to the mixing and suspending step a).
