Abstract
A device providing ocular photo-bio-stimulation therapy.
Claims30
A system for providing ocular photo-bio-stimulation light, the system comprising:
- one or more light sources transmitting ocular photo-bio-stimulation light, a first moving image, and a second image, wherein the one or more light sources are one or more of:
- (a) one or more eyewear comprising one or more light emitters, (b) one or more electronic display screens comprising one or more light emitters, or (c) one or more stationary or portable devices comprising one or more light emitters;
- and
- a processor, and a computer-readable medium having executable instructions stored thereon, that, when the executable instructions are executed by the processor, the processor is operative to:
- use the one or more light sources to transmit the first moving image;
- use the one or more light sources to transmit the second image, the second image comprising some or all of the ocular photo-bio-stimulation light, to a user, wherein the ocular photo-bio-stimulation light is chosen to result in a physiological response to the user;
- allow the user with a same eye to see two images, the first moving image and the second image, such that the first moving image moves within or relative to the second image;
- control movement of the first moving image, wherein moving the first moving image is configured to cause the same eye of the user to move while a central portion of a retina of the eye of the user fixates on the first moving image;
- transmit the second image having light wavelengths that account for over 50% of visible light transmission to the retina of the user within a wavelength range of at least one of 480 nm+/−30 nm, 475 nm+/−20 nm, 530 nm+/−20 nm, or 600 nm to 700 nm;
- transmit the second image having wavelengths within a range of 475 nm to 520 nm when the wavelength range is within 480 nm+/−30 nm, 475 nm+/−20 nm, or 530 nm+/−20 nm, or transmit the second image having wavelengths within a range of 650 nm+/−10 nm when the wavelength range is within 600 nm to 700 nm;
- and
- paint the user's same eye's retina with the second image as the user fixates on the first moving image, wherein the second image paints the user's same eye's retina using wavelengths within a range of at least one of 480 nm+/−30 nm, 475 nm+/−20 nm, 530 nm+/−20 nm, or 600 nm to 700 nm, across or on a peripheral retinal area larger in size than an optic nerve head of the user's same eye as the user fixates on the first moving image.
