Abstract
A medicament for therapeutic treatment and/or improvement of a sepsis patient comprising thrombomodulin as an active ingredient, which is for administration to the patient, whose value of International Normalized Ratio (INR) is more than 1.4 immediately before the administration.
Claims12
A method for therapeutic treatment and/or improvement of a sepsis patient comprising:
- administering thrombomodulin as an active ingredient to a patient whose value of International Normalized Ratio (INR) is more than 1.4 within one hour retrospectively from the start of thrombomodulin administration,
- wherein the patient has a value of thrombin-antithrombin (TAT) complex of 10 ng/ml or more within one hour retrospectively from the start of thrombomodulin administration, or has a protein C activity value of not more than 40% within one hour retrospectively from the start of thrombomodulin administration.
