Working machine and method of controlling working machine

A method of controlling a working machine which includes a driver including a hydraulic actuator to be actuated by a hydraulic fluid, a control valve to control the hydraulic actuator, an operable input device, and a controller configured or programmed to acquire a target flow rate of the hydraulic fluid supplied to the hydraulic actuator, control an opening of the control valve based on the target flow rate, and control a flow rate of the hydraulic fluid supplied to the hydraulic actuator from the control valve to be equal to or less than a predetermined maximum flow rate, the method comprising:

• causing the controller to, when a limit value defined by operating the input device is less than a threshold, perform a first control in which the controller changes a drive speed of the driver in a drive start period based on the limit value by changing the opening of the control valve corresponding to the target flow rate;
• and
• causing the controller to, when the limit value is less than the threshold, perform a second control in addition to the first control, the second control being a control in which the controller changes the maximum flow rate of the hydraulic fluid to actuate the hydraulic actuator based on the limit value;
• wherein
• when the limit value is equal to or more than the threshold, the controller performs the first control and does not perform the second control.
