Abstract
Provided is a compound and so on having aldehyde dehydrogenase 2 (ALDH2) activation effect. A compound, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound, or a prodrug of the compound or the salt, the compound being represented by the following formula (1): wherein A is a heterocycle, R1 and R2 are each independently hydrogen, an alkyl, an alkenyl, or an alkynyl, R3 is an alkyl, an alkenyl, or an alkynyl, and X1 and X2 are each independently a halogen.

A compound, a pharmaceutically acceptable salt of the compound, or a prodrug of the compound or the salt, the compound being represented by the following formula (1):

- A is a heterocycle,
- R1 and R2 are each independently hydrogen, an alkyl, an alkenyl, or an alkynyl,
- R3 is an alkyl, an alkenyl, or an alkynyl, and
