Abstract
A hydrofoiling watercraft is disclosed that includes a board having a top surface for supporting a user and a bottom surface. Extending from the top surface of the board is a handlebar. Extending from the bottom surface of the board is a hydrofoil including a strut and a hydrofoil wing. A propulsion system is attached to the hydrofoil.
Claims13
A hydrofoil device comprising:
- a board having a top surface and a bottom surface;
- a hydrofoil including a strut connected to the bottom surface of the board;
- a propulsion system coupled to the hydrofoil;
- at least one of an accelerometer, gyroscope, and inertial measurement unit configured to output at least one of speed, position, and orientation data of the board;
- and
- a computerized control system configured to modulate power provided to the propulsion system based on the at least one of speed, position, and orientation data.
