A method for treating a tumor comprising administering a therapeutic dose of an enterovirus using Kremen 1 (KRM1) as a receptor to a subject in need thereof,
- wherein the enterovirus is selected from the group consisting of coxsackievirus A2 (CV-A2), coxsackievirus A3 (CV-A3), coxsackievirus A4 (CV-A4), coxsackievirus A5 (CV-A5), coxsackievirus A6 (CV-A6), coxsackievirus A10 (CV-A10) and coxsackievirus A12 (CV-A12), and
- wherein the tumor is a KRM1-expressing tumor.
