Coding method for compressing complex hologram

A non-transitory computer-readable recording medium storing a computer program that, when executed by a computer processor, causes the computer processor to perform a coding method for compressing a complex hologram, the coding method comprising:

• (a) normalizing the complex hologram by clipping a predetermined region thereof and projecting the clipped region into a range having a predetermined size;
• (b) creating a complex vector plane divided into unit regions, and giving an index to each unit region of the complex vector plane;
• (c) mapping the complex hologram including two frames of two parts to a complex index map, wherein the mapping includes:
• projecting two pixel values of the two frames to the complex vector plane by regarding the two pixel values of the two frames as a first complex vector;
• and
• assigning the index given to each unit region of the complex vector plane as a complex index of the complex index map;
• and
• (f) encoding the complex index map assigned with the complex index.
