Abstract
The invention relates to a management server for an ice maker that includes: a communicator configured to receive operation information on extraction of ice stored in the ice maker and sensing information on an amount of the ice stored in the ice maker; and a controller configured, based on the received operation information and sensing information in a first time section and the received operation information and sensing information in a second time section after the first time section, to determine whether the ice stored in the ice maker is clumped in the second time section.
Claims20
A management server for managing a refrigerator remotely, comprising:
- a communicator configured to communicate with the refrigerator in a wired or wireless manner, and receive (i) operation information on extraction of ice stored in an ice maker of the refrigerator and (ii) sensing information on an amount of the ice stored in the ice maker;
- and
- a controller, based on (i) the received operation information and sensing information in a first time section and (ii) the received operation information and sensing information in a second time section after the first time section, determining that the ice stored in the ice maker is clumped in the second time section and that a cause of ice clumping is continuous supply of cold air in the second time section.
A method for managing a refrigerator remotely by a management server comprising a communicator and a controller, the method comprising:
- receiving, by the communicator, operation information on extraction of ice stored in an ice maker of the refrigerator, and sensing information on an amount of the ice stored in the ice maker;
- based on (i) the received operation information and sensing information in a first time section and (ii) the received operation information and sensing information in a second time section after the first time section, determining, by the controller, that the ice stored in the ice maker is clumped in the second time section;
- and
- communicating, by the communicator, with the refrigerator in a wired or wireless manner, that the ice stored in the ice maker is clumped and that a cause of ice clumping is continuous supply of cold air in the second time section.
