Abstract
Various implementations described herein are directed to a modular post of an integrated construction system. In one implementation, the modular post includes a longitudinal extruded post having a first end and a second end. Each end of the longitudinal extruded post is configured to receive a post end component. The longitudinal extruded post includes a plurality of grooves cut into the longitudinal extruded post at predetermined locations along the post.
Claims20
A modular post of a shoring system, comprising:
- a first post end component;
- a second post end component;
- and
- a longitudinal extruded post having a longitudinal axis extending along the longitudinal extruded post, the longitudinal extruded post being configured to be slidably engaged with an inner portion of at least one fitting ring and having:
- a first end and a second end, the first end of the longitudinal extruded post being coupled to the first post end component by fitting within a first inner portion of the first post end component, the second end of the longitudinal extruded post being doubled to the second post end component by fitting within a second inner portion of the second post end component;
- and
- a groove in the longitudinal extruded post which extends along an entire circumference of the longitudinal extruded post, the groove being configured to receive one of the at least one fitting ring,
- wherein the groove is perpendicular to the longitudinal axis;
- wherein the longitudinal extruded post includes a first rib longitudinally parallel with the longitudinal extruded post, and
- wherein the post end component includes a second rib, longitudinally parallel with the longitudinal extruded post and, negatively corresponding to the first rib,
- wherein the groove intersects the first rib and intersects the second rib.
